Feather M13 is faster than stock Apple drives, more reliable than handmade 3rd-party solutions, and is fully compatible with Macs from 2013 to 2019.

All drives come formatted as MacOS Extended with High Sierra 10.13.6 preinstalled. Feather M13 is an NVMe drive. As with all NVMe drives, you will not be able to use this SSD without a prior installation of High Sierra or newer on your MacBook.

Most Macs are capped at 1500MBs read/write, those that aren't are marked below. Do NOT use model number alone to identify your Mac. Sudo pmset hibernatemode 0 standby 0. If you are using Mojave OS, you will also need to run this code. These models can operate up to 2800MB/s Read and 1600MB/s Write. All other models are capped at 1500MB/s Read/Write. These are identifying numbers for Apple drives commonly found inside compatible Macs.
